About Ayanna

It may take a while for Ayanna to open up, but once she does, she is quick to rattle off a few of her favorite things

Her favorite color: brown. 

Her favorite foods: white rice, black beans, pepperoni pizza, spaghetti, chicken, fish.

Favorite activities include: singing and dancing, going to the beach and putting her feet in the sand. 

She also voices a love for the typical teenage exploits: “sleeping in, watching TV, going on the computer, and eating as much food as I want.”

“People say I talk a lot, and I eat a lot,” she says.

In school, the seventh-grader has set an important goal for herself: to maintain an “A” grade point average. Her proudest accomplishment is to read a book in a week. 

For role models, Ayanna looks up to police officers and could even see herself being adopted by one. She says her dream is to become a police officer someday.

But in the meantime, she looks forward to a forever home that’s “very big, friendly” and has “lots of food.”
